I remember before my kids were born I thought about what it would be like to share all my favorite movies and books with them. I imagined that for each birthday I could give them a beloved book or movie that I had loved at that age. At six, I’d give them Little House in the Big Woods, at eight, Pete’s Dragon and on and on.
Things didn’t exactly work out that way. Because surprise, surprise, my kids are their own people, and my interests at 12 and their interests at 12, don’t exactly match up. On top of that, entertainment has changed so much! When I was a kid we watched a lot of things that were meant for adults or older kids (listen very closely to the lyrics of Grease sometime, they are definitely not as kid friendly as you remember). Kids today are used to watching things made precisely for their age group and made with today’s pacing in mind.
That’s one of the reasons I really love it when a favorite movie of mine, like Jurassic Park, gets a great reboot. I’ve loved the Jurassic Park movies since the original in 1993. The reboot franchise, which started in 2015 has been great for me to enjoy with my kids. The most recent movie, Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom, is especially fun.
Building on the wonder and adventure of the other movies Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom captivates audiences of all ages with a stunning new chapter filled with more dinosaurs than any other Jurassic film! Plus, it’s hard for anyone not to love a movie with Chris Pratt, am I right?
ABOUT THE MOVIE

Owen is driven to save his lead raptor, Blue, while Claire makes it her mission to preserve the creatures that she has grown to deeply respect. When the lava begins to rain down, they soon discover terrifying new breeds of ferocious dinosaurs along with a conspiracy that could threaten the entire world.
