This post is brought to you by Amazon and The Motherhood. All opinions are my own.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to let your teen do their own shopping on Amazon? I know I’ve dreamed about having a way for my son, Christian, to search, find and order the things he needs or wants without adding a task to my to-do list to hop into my Amazon account and place the order.
I was recently given the opportunity to explore the new feature from Amazon that allows parents to create a login for their teen to place orders on their own.
It has seriously been a fantastic experience as a parent to introduce this flexibility and independence to my teen. I think one of the things I’ve enjoyed the most is that it’s simple to set the payment method, a spending limit, and shipping address and then approve his orders before they’re fully completed to head his way.
It’s taught him a lot about shopping smart which can sometimes be a challenge when it comes to teens and freedom to shop at their discretion.
I also really like that as a parent with a Prime membership, I can share select benefits with my teen at no additional cost, including:
- Prime Shipping: Unlimited fast, Free Two-Day Shipping on more than 50 million items
- Prime Video: Unlimited access to tens of thousands of movies and TV shows
- Twitch Prime: In-game loot on Twitch and 20 percent off most pre-release boxed games (something I know Christian is all about)
Teens and parents can learn more and sign-up at amazon.com/forteens.
How to Sign Up
Signing up for a login takes just a few minutes. Parents can allow a separate Amazon login username and password for up to four teens (13-17) absolutely free. Once you’ve chosen a payment method, shipping address, and optional spending limit, your teen can download the Amazon App and start shopping! To get started, parents can visit amazon.com/forteens.
